This is about nerd-dom as a whole.

We, as nerds, can be down right monstrous at times. It's despicable and disgusting how we treat those who have differing opinions than ours, or how we treat cosplayers (especially the attractive women in skimpy and revealing outfits), or a whole list of things that I cannot get into because it's so large.

It needs to stop.

As nerds (or furries, or bronies, or whatever else you label yourself as), we've been on the receiving end of all kinds of torment and abuse, yet, when someone needs a place to be accepted, or when we see those attractive cosplayers, or we see an opinion that we disagree with, or whatever other thing we see/hear about, we turn that abuse towards the thing we dislike. We hound and leer at cosplayers for this, that, and the other thing. We torment people who are genuinely curious about something nerdy.

Again, it needs to stop.

I can't say that I'm not guilty of some of the things I'm trying to shed light on. I'm only human, and I've made mistakes. I've learned from them as well. It's time nerds everywhere did the same.

It's time PEOPLE everywhere learned from their mistakes.

Like the title says... Holy crap I just realized I'm a brony! Though I suppose it's been a long time coming since I watched My little pony: friendship is magic..... and read the fanfiction, and saw the fan art....

But I digress, the only reason I brought up this particular subject is because while reading some MLP:FiM fanfics, I got an idea for a story.... that eventually evolved into something I want to write into a book. I'll be putting up the prologue for this "story" as well, just to show what hit me while I was reading stories about girly little ponies and their love lives that don't really exist. (well, except for Spike, the baby dragon and Rarity....)

Honestly, I haven't really had any inspiration for my fanfics recently. Not for lack of trying by the way... I just haven't had ANYTHING come to mind at all... the only thing I've had pop up lately is short story ideas, so I think I might take an indefinite break from fanfics and start posting short stories for a while...

Well, I'm in college now. It's a bit more... laid back at the moment than I thought it would be, but that's fine with me ^_^
I'm going to get a degree in computer programming and analysis first, then I'm going to get a degree in game design so I can hopefully start making games.

I've brought it up a couple of times in the story and I was wondering if Lucy should get her own chapters. What do you guys think?
